Placements24 is seeking a Senior Auditor to join a globally distributed, fully remote team operating from South Africa. You will plan, lead, and execute financial statement audits in line with ISAs and IFRS, assess internal controls, perform testing, and coach junior staff.

You will develop client relationships, communicate findings to managers, prepare audit documentation, and ensure budgets and timelines are met. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA(SA)/ACCA/CIMA) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in external audit.
• Strong understanding of ISAs and IFRS is essential.
• Proficiency in audit software and data analytics tools is required.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage multiple engagements remotely.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, lead, and execute financial statement audits in accordance with ISAs.
• Assess client internal control systems and identify risks.
• Perform substantive and compliance testing procedures.
• Supervise and mentor junior audit staff during engagements.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and engagement managers.
• Prepare clear audit documentation, working papers, and reports.
• Ensure timely completion of engagements within budget.
• Stay current with auditing standards, accounting pronouncements, and industry trends.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Contribute to internal quality control and professional development initiatives.
