Placements24 is recruiting a Senior Auditor for their established audit practice in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will lead audits for financial services clients, manage audit teams, and deliver high-quality work in line with ISAs and IFRS.

The role emphasizes client liaison, on-site fieldwork, and ongoing professional development. A CA(SA) or equivalent and 4+ years of post-qualification experience are expected, with opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of auditing standards (ISAs) and IFRS.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize audits for financial services clients in accordance with ISAs and IFRS.
• Manage and supervise audit teams, providing guidance and feedback to junior staff.
• Assess internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
• Perform detailed testing of financial statements and underlying transactions.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to client management and audit committees.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., Banks Act, FSCA regulations).
• Develop strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact.
• Prepare audit reports and management letters.
• Stay updated on auditing standards, accounting principles, and industry developments.
• As this role involves significant client interaction and on-site fieldwork, it requires a full-time commitment to the office and client premises.
