Placements24 currently seeks an experienced Remote Drilling Fluids Engineer to design and optimize mud systems from a distance, ensuring wellbore stability and efficient drilling operations worldwide.

You will monitor fluid performance, troubleshoot challenges, and guide onsite crews while managing remote inventory and costs. A strong background in drilling fluid chemistry and rheology is required, with independent work ability in a global remote team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum or Chemical Engineering or related science.
• Minimum of 5 years as Drilling Fluids Engineer or Mud Engineer.
• Solid understanding of drilling fluid chemistry, rheology and properties.
• Experience with various drilling fluid systems and additives.
• Proven ability to work independently and communicate in a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize drilling fluid systems based on geology and objectives.
• Monitor fluid performance and propose adjustments.
• Troubleshoot issues like lost circulation and wellbore instability.
• Manage inventory and logistics of drilling fluids remotely.
• Provide technical guidance to drilling crews and record performance data.
