Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Remote Mechanical Systems Engineer to join a distributed engineering team. The role is fully remote, enabling work from anywhere while contributing to design, development, and optimization of complex mechanical systems.

You will collaborate with a global team, leveraging digital tools to drive projects forward. Requirements include an MSc/MEng in Mechanical Engineering and at least 7 years of experience in mechanical systems design and analysis, with CAD/CAE

Qualifications

• MSc or MEng in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in mechanical systems design and analysis.
• Expertise in CAD/CAE software and proven ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
• Strong understanding of system dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and validate mechanical systems and components for various applications.
• Develop system requirements, technical specifications, and performance criteria.
• Utilize advanced simulation tools (FEA, CFD) to predict system behavior and optimize designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using digital collaboration platforms and communication tools.
• Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including reports, drawings, and presentations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues remotely, providing clear technical guidance.
