Job summary

LegalVision is seeking a Senior Associate to join our ANZ Construction & Infrastructure team in New Zealand. The role is largely remote with offices in Christchurch and coworking spaces available; you will handle a wide range of construction and commercial matters and help grow the NZ practice.

You will draft and negotiate NZS-based contracts, advise on procurement strategies and compliance, and build lasting client relationships while contributing to team growth and professional development

Qualifications

5+ years’ experience in construction/infrastructure matters.
Experience with NZS standards and regulatory compliance.
Strong commercial contract experience and client advisory skills.

Responsibilities

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction contracts including NZS 3910/3916/3604, residential contracts and subcontracts.
Advising on contract procurement strategies.
Assisting with contractual claims and interpretation.
Advising on regulatory compliance including security of payment, Building Act compliance and licensing.
Building and owning client relationships as the primary contact for clients.
Contributing to growth through articles, webinars, and LV Academy training.
