Job summary

LegalVision is recruiting a Senior Associate to join our ANZ Construction & Infrastructure team. You’ll work across construction, infrastructure and commercial matters for SME to enterprise clients, leveraging NZ experience.

The NZ remote team offers flexible hybrid options for Christchurch locals, a home-office setup allowance, and opportunities to contribute through articles, webinars and LV Academy training.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in construction/infrastructure matters.
• Commercial awareness and a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Ability to explain complex legal issues clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills and ability to run matters autonomously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build trusted client relationships.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating within a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating NZS 3910/3916/3604-based contracts and related agreements.
• Advising on contract procurement strategies and regulatory compliance.
• Assisting with contractual claims and interpretation.
• Advising on regulatory compliance matters such as Building Act 2004 and related licenses.
• Building and owning client relationships as the primary point of contact for clients.
• Contributing to team growth through articles, webinars and LV Academy training.
