Job summary

LegalVision is expanding its ANZ Construction & Infrastructure team in New Zealand. The Senior Associate will handle a broad range of construction, infrastructure and commercial matters for SMEs and enterprise clients, with a focus on efficient, cost-effective legal services.

The NZ team operates fully remotely, with offsites, access to coworking spaces in Christchurch, and a home-office setup allowance for the successful candidate.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in construction/infrastructure matters.
• Experience with front-end construction/infrastructure contracts is desirable.
• Ability to explain complex legal issues clearly to non-legal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction/infrastructure contracts (NZS 3910/3916/3604, residential building contracts, consultancy and subcontractor agreements).
• Advising clients on procurement strategies and regulatory compliance matters (Security of Payment, Construction Contracts Act 2002, Building Act 2004).
• Developing and maintaining client relationships as the primary point of contact and adding value.
• Contributing to team growth through articles, webinars and LV Academy training.
