Job summary

Good Beginnings Educare Preschool in Wellington is seeking a qualified, registered ECE teacher for a full-time permanent role in a warm, well-established centre. The role blends child-led exploration with structured learning, supporting tamariki to build confidence, curiosity and strong foundations while working with families as part of a close-knit team.

You will lead curriculum development, deliver Te Whāriki with culturally responsive practice, and mentor provisionally certificated teachers.

Qualifications

• Qualified, registered ECE teacher with current practising certificate.
• Experience or interest in Montessori or structured learning is welcome.
• Ability balancing child-led play with intentional, planned teaching.

• a teacher or a team leader - we are open minded


• a recognised ECE teaching qualification and current practising certificate (provisionally certificated teachers are welcome)


• experience or interest in Montessori or structured learning practice is welcome


• confidence balancing child-led play with intentional, planned teaching


• genuine, respectful relationships with children, whānau and colleagues


• strong knowledge of Te Whāriki and enjoyment in bringing it to life


• commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally responsive practice
