Job summary

Poppies Preschool Gardiners Road in Canterbury seeks a qualified ECE teacher for a 6-month fixed term to cover maternity leave. The role involves teaching across one of three classrooms, planning and documenting children’s learning, and maintaining strong communication with whānau.

The successful applicant will hold a current practising certificate from the NZ Teachers Council, work 30-35 hours per week over 4-5 days, and engage in Enviroschools sustainability activities.

Qualifications

• Must hold current practising certificate from the NZ Teachers Council.
• Ability to plan and document children’s learning.
• Excellent communication skills and a sense of fun.
• Passion for sustainability and Enviroschools programme.

Responsibilities

• Work in one of three classrooms for 6 months with potential extension.
