Job summary

Bay Buddies Preschool is seeking a qualified ECE kaiako to join our Montessori-inspired learning community in a permanent, full-time role (minimum 30 hours per week). You will foster independence, purposeful learning and respectful relationships in our cared-for environment.

We value culturally responsive practice, collaboration with whānau, and ongoing professional growth. Montessor i training and leadership support with registration assistance are offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified ECE teacher with NZ registration and practising certificate.
• Montessori experience valued but not essential.
• Ability to build warm relationships with tamariki and whānau, and work collaboratively.

Are you an ECE-qualified and registered kaiako looking for a place where you can feel supported, build confidence in your practice, and continue growing as a teacher?

Bay Buddies Preschool is seeking a qualified ECE teacher with a recognised early childhood teaching qualification, current New Zealand teacher registration and practising certificate, to join our team in a permanent, full-time position (minimum 30 hours per week).

Our learning environment is guided by the Montessori approach, with a strong focus on independence, purposeful learning, intentional teaching, respectful relationships and thoughtfully prepared environments.

Montessori experience is valued but not essential. If you are curious about Montessori, this is an opportunity to develop new professional knowledge while building on the ECE skills and understanding you already bring.

This role would particularly suit a newly certificated or early-career ECE kaiako, or someone with some experience who wants to deepen and extend their practice.

We are looking for someone who builds warm relationships with tamariki and whānau, values culturally responsive and inclusive practice, works collaboratively, and is reflective, curious and open to learning.
