Job summary

Summerset Cambridge village is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a team that delivers quality aged care and an enriched lifestyle for residents. You will contribute to resident-directed care and collaborate with families to enhance quality of life.

The role is permanent, part-time, with a roster of four days on, two days off, and shifts from 4.00pm to 8.00pm. NZ Registration and Practicing Certificate are required, with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• NZ Registration and Practicing Certificate is required.
• Interest in working with older people and delivering resident-centered care.
• Demonstrated leadership, calm under pressure and emotional resilience.
• Strong communication and ability to build rapport with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Manage residents’ daily care needs across clinical and end-of-life scenarios.
• Develop and follow long-term care plans and clinical assessments.
• Take charge on shifts and make appropriate clinical decisions.
• Deliver planned nursing care and evaluate progress with residents and families.
• Provide guidance to caregivers and build trusted relationships with residents.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse at our Cambridgevillage, you will be part of a team that provides quality aged care and creates the best most enjoyable lifestyle to our care centre residents. Our residents are often here for many years, and our approach to care is resident-directed. The ultimate focus is their quality of life.

Typical duties include:

• Managing residents’ everyday needs, from clinical to end-of-life care


• Creating and following long term care plans as well as clinical assessments


• Taking charge of the care centre on certain shifts and making appropriate clinical decisions


• Delivering planned nursing care and evaluate progress in partnership with the resident and their family to enhance their daily lives.


• Providing guidance and direction to the caregivers on shift


• Building trusted relationships with residents and their families

This is a permanent part-time role working a roster of, four days on, two days off and shift times will be 4.00pm to 8.00pm.

Qualifications

As an experienced Registered Nurse, you will be seeking a rewarding role and feel motivated by enhancing residents’ lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• A NZ Registration and a current Practicing Certificate


• A genuine interest in working with older people and an understanding of clinical services as they are delivered in a retirement village


• Demonstrated ability to take the lead, remain calm under pressure and be emotionally resilient


• Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people, from residents, families and your colleagues
