Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora invites applications for a Registered Nurse in the Oncology Infusion Unit in Greymouth, West Coast. This 0.8FTE permanent position delivers intravenous infusion treatments and plans care for cancer patients and other conditions.

You will collaborate with Health NZ consultants and Oncology CNS staff, oversee safe infusion services, and contribute to education and patient self-management.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Nursing Council of NZ as a comprehensive or General Nurse with a current APC.
• Minimum of 5 years post-graduation experience.
• Willing to work towards a relevant Post-Graduate Diploma.
• Displays confidence, assertiveness and motivation.
• Competency in MIV and CVAD Management.
• Completed or willing to complete EVIQ training.
• Completed or willing to complete SACT training.
• Completed or willing to complete CoreImmediate training.
• Completed or willing to complete Mosaiq training.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and plans intravenous infusion treatments for patients with Cancer Diagnoses and other conditions.
• Manages infusion therapy in collaboration with Health New Zealand consultants and Oncology CNS staff.
• Oversees the safe delivery of infusion unit services for West Coast patients.
• Provides leadership and development in specialized infusion therapy.
• Delivers patient-centered education and supports self-management across the organisation.

About the Role

The Infusion Unit Registered Nurse will be responsible for deliveringand planning intravenous infusion treatments for patients with Cancer Diagnosesand other conditions.

The key deliverables are:

• Provides management of infusion therapyin collaboration with Health New Zealand local & external Consultant Specialists.
• Provides management of infusion therapyin collaboration with OncologyCNS staff
• Oversees the safe delivery of infusion unit services to the West Coast patients
• Provides leadership and development skillsand knowledge on typesof specialized medication infusion therapy
• Works across the organization to deliver qualityeducation and support that ispatient focused and promotes and supports self- management

You will bea Registered Nurse with a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient -centred care. You will bring strong clinical skills, adaptability, and acollaborative approach to your practice.

You willideally have:

• Registered with the NursingCouncil of NZ as acomprehensive or General Nurse with a current APC
• Minimum of 5 years post-graduation experience
• Willing to work towards a relevantPost-Graduate Diploma
• Displays a high degree of confidence,assertiveness, and motivation
• Excellent personal organizational skills
• Achieved and maintains competency in MIV and CVAD Management.
