Job summary

Kaipara Medical Centre in Helensville, Auckland, seeks a Registered Nurse to join a dedicated healthcare team in a modern, patient-centred facility. We welcome committed RNs with NZ registration and at least 2 years post-registration experience.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Council of NZ registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of 2 years post-registration nursing experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge in patient assessment, monitoring and care delivery.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families and colleagues.
• Proficiency with electronic patient management systems and medical documentation.
• Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to patient-centred care and high professional standards.
• Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Proactive development and evidence-based practice.
• Experience in general practice or primary healthcare is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in general medical and surgical settings.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans with the clinical team.
• Administer medications, wound care and other treatments per protocols.
• Monitor vital signs and progress, report changes to the medical team.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide health education and support to patients and families.
• Assist doctors during clinical procedures and examinations.
• Maintain infection control and safe clinical environment.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join the dedicated healthcare team at Kaipara Medical Centre in Helensville, Auckland. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care in a general medical and surgical setting. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting our patients' health and wellbeing, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional clinical outcomes. Key responsibilities

• Providing direct patient care to individuals requiring general medical and surgical support, including assessment, monitoring and treatment delivery
• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and developing individualised care plans in collaboration with the clinical team
• Administering medications, wound care and other clinical treatments as per established protocols and patient requirements
• Monitoring patient vital signs and clinical progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the medical team promptly
• Maintaining accurate and timely medical records and documentation in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements
• Providing compassionate support and health education to patients and their families, promoting understanding of their condition and treatment plans
• Assisting doctors and consultants during clinical procedures and examinations
• Contributing to a safe and hygienic clinical environment through adherence to infection control and health and safety protocols
• Collaborating effectively with colleagues across all departments to ensure continuity and quality of patient care
• Participating in ongoing professional development and clinical training to maintain and enhance clinical competency

What we're looking for

• Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum of 2 years' post-registration nursing experience
• Strong clinical knowledge and competency in patient assessment, monitoring and care delivery
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients, families and colleagues
