Job summary

The Doctors Medical Centres in New Zealand is seeking a registered nurse to join the Woodham site as part of a committed general practice team. You will contribute to clinical excellence and community health improvement within a supportive environment.

You will work full time (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday) with opportunities for career advancement and access to training and development programs. NZ residency or valid work permit is required.

Qualifications

• Current NZ practicing certificate with prior experience in a medical centre (desirable).
• Competent in nursing in primary care and able to build rapport with team members.
• Willingness to learn and improve; CPR certification advantageous.

This is a permanent full time position working 40 hours per week across 5 days from Monday to Friday

Do you have what we are looking for?

• A current New Zealand practicing certificate with prior experience in a medical centre (desirable)
• Competent in areas of nursing in primary care (must have worked in primary care)
• Your practice aligns with the principles of The Treaty of Waitangi.
• Postgraduate nursing qualifications (or if you are working towards one) and/or specialisation is highly desirable; such as travel or occupational health, prescribing or long-term conditions
• Willing to continually learnand improve
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to build strong rapport with team members.
• You will ideally hold current CPR certificate
• Hold authorised vaccinator and smear taker certificates
• Would be advantageous to have Cannulation and phlebotomy skills but not essential
