Job summary

Cambridge Medical Centre, part of the Tui Medical family, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our large GP practice in Cambridge. This varied nursing role spans multiple clinical areas, requiring strong assessment and decision-making skills.

We operate Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm with negotiable hours for work‑life balance. Candidates must hold NZ APC, CPR and be eligible to work in NZ. We support development, teamwork, and a compassionate patient‑centred approach.

Qualifications

• Current NZ APC as Registered Nurse.
• CPR certificate and eligibility to work in NZ.
• Ability to work across multiple clinical areas and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across multiple clinical areas within a GP practice.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with GPs and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Support patient education and preventive care initiatives.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our large, well‑established GP practice. This is a varied nursing position suited to someone who enjoys working across multiple clinical areas and is confident using their assessment and decision‑making skills.

Our practice is open Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Hours are negotiable to support work‑life balance.

About you

You will have:

• A current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) as a Registered Nurse
• A current CPR certificate
• New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency, and currently residing in New Zealand
• Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making skills
• Confidence working independently and managing competing priorities in a busy general practice
• Excellent clinical documentation and computer skills (familiarity with practice management systems is an advantage)
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• A proactive, adaptable, and reliable approach
• A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
• Strong teamwork and open communication skills
• A calm, compassionate, and person‑centred approach to patient care
