T&G Fresh in Auckland is seeking a Regional Transport Manager to lead our Northern Region, covering Auckland, Pukekohe, Hamilton and Tauranga. This hands-on role requires transport industry experience, strong people leadership and the ability to drive efficiency while managing budgets, safety and regulatory compliance across the network.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams within transport, logistics or a similar operational environment.
• Strong people leadership skills: coaching, development and empowerment.
• Good commercial and financial understanding of transport costs and performance drivers.
• Practical, hands-on approach; comfortable operating on the ground.
• Ability to make decisions and drive progress in a fast-paced environment.
• Transport industry experience is essential.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop Transport Managers and their teams, building a culture of accountability.
• Spend time in operation and on sites to understand real conditions.
• Drive improvements in productivity, utilisation, service and cost across the region.
• Use data and commercial insight to identify cost drivers and inform decisions.
• Support teams through change while keeping operations moving.
• Build strong relationships with customers, site leaders and stakeholders.
• Ensure health and safety, NZTA, driver hours and transport compliance obligations.
• Manage regional budgets, labour and assets.
• Step in to solve problems when plans do not go as expected.
