Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Area Transport Manager to lead all transport operations in the Queenstown region. This strategic role focuses on optimizing fleet performance, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across the area.

You will manage a team of transport professionals, develop efficient logistics strategies, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement, delivering exceptional service to customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience (5+ years) in transport management or logistics operations.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Strong understanding of fleet maintenance, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with transport management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of regional transport operations, including fleet management, scheduling, and routing.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of drivers and logistics staff.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, compliance standards, and traffic laws.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies.
• Analyze performance data and implement corrective actions to achieve operational targets.
