Job summary

Gentrack is seeking a Senior Director of Engineering to provide executive leadership across its Southern Hemisphere hubs, including New Zealand and Melbourne. The role emphasizes AI-first engineering, people development, and high autonomy with strategic alignment to the global technology vision.

You will mentor engineering leaders, drive AI-augmented workflows, and partner with Product, Delivery, and Architecture to optimize the Product Development Lifecycle while maintaining strong regional

Qualifications

• 12 to 15 years of technology experience in enterprise software.
• At least 5+ years in senior executive engineering leadership (Director/Senior Director).
• Proven ability to lead AI-enabled engineering and developer enablement.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management across timezones.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership across NZ and Melbourne hubs.
• Maintain alignment with global CTO and architecture.
• Champion AI-augmented development workflows.
• Mentor engineering managers and technical leaders.
• Drive engineering velocity and productivity through modern tooling.
