• Plan and optimize daily delivery routes, considering factors such as distance, traffic, and delivery priority.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring roadworthiness and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, including proof of delivery, mileage, and fuel consumption records.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service to all clients encountered during deliveries.
• Handle packages with care to prevent damage during transit and ensure they reach the recipient in perfect condition.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations management regarding delivery status, delays, or any customer-related issues.
• Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules and performance targets.
• Assist with loading and unloading operations as required, ensuring the security of cargo.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License and a Professional Driver's Permit (PDP).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional driver, preferably with courier or delivery services experience in the **Eastern Cape**.
