Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Area Cleaning Operations Manager to oversee cleaning services across multiple sites in the Queenstown area. This senior leadership role requires strategic planning, strong team leadership, and a proven track record in facilities management and contract compliance.

You will drive service quality, manage budgets, develop site supervisors, monitor health and safety, and cultivate client relationships to ensure consistent excellence in cleanliness and hygiene

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in managing cleaning/ facilities operations.
• Proven track record managing multiple sites and large teams.
• Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, chemicals, equipment, and HSE standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with budget management and contract oversight.

Responsibilities

• Manage cleaning operations across a portfolio of client sites.
• Ensure high-quality service delivery meeting client expectations and contracts.
• Develop and implement operational plans, budgets and KPIs.
• Lead, motivate and develop site supervisors and staff.
• Conduct site visits and performance audits to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain strong client relationships and address service issues proactively.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies.
• Oversee inventory, supply chain and equipment maintenance.
• Drive adoption of new technologies to improve efficiency.
• Manage labour costs and scheduling to optimize resources.
• Report performance and client satisfaction to senior management.
