Job summary

Equans NZ is seeking a Refrigeration & HVAC Service Technician to join our Auckland branch, supporting customers across the wider Auckland region. You will perform technical refrigeration, HVAC, and electrical work on building services equipment.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial/industrial service, with knowledge of controls and building management systems, and excellent client communication are essential. On-call roster and overtime opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial/industrial refrigeration and building services maintenance.
• Experience with controls and building management systems.
• Experience with Transcritical CO2 systems is an advantage; training provided.
• Current clean NZ driver licence.
• EST Licence or relevant trade qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose technical issues and prioritise workload to meet service levels.
• Perform HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical work on building services equipment.
• Provide high-quality customer service and manage customer concerns.
• Identify cost-effective repair, replacement, and upgrade options.

Our team are passionate about Commercial Refrigeration and Mechanical Services and take pride in the quality of their work. You will need to have a strong focus on providing top level customer service, working safely, have a solid understanding of relevant industry codes and standards enabling you to perform technical refrigeration, HVAC and electrical work on building services equipment. Experience working on centralised refrigeration (rack systems) for the food industry would be an advantage.
