Job summary

Prime Thermal is seeking a tradesperson to work across commercial and industrial refrigeration, air conditioning and controls in Waikato. No two days are the same, with installation, commissioning, servicing and repairs, plus preventative maintenance.

Ideal candidates hold NZ Certificate in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (Level 4), a current EWRB Practising Licence and a full NZ Driver Licence. We value teamwork, ownership and a willingness to learn, and we offer training, an on-call

Responsibilities

• Fault finding and diagnosing refrigeration, electrical, mechanical and control issues.
• Installation, commissioning, servicing and repairs.
• Preventative maintenance programmes.
• Managing your own jobs from start to finish, including ordering parts and keeping clients informed.
• Supporting apprentices and sharing knowledge with the team.
• An on-call roster.

What you'll be doing

No two days are the same. You'll work across commercial and industrial refrigeration, air conditioning and controls, with plenty of variety and the opportunity to continue developing your skills.

You'll be involved in

• Fault finding and diagnosing refrigeration, electrical, mechanical and control issues.
• Installation, commissioning, servicing and repairs.
• Preventative maintenance programmes.
• Working with commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Learning ammonia refrigeration if you haven't worked with it before - we're happy to train the right person.
• Managing your own jobs from start to finish, including ordering parts and keeping clients informed.
• Supporting apprentices and sharing your knowledge with the team.
• An on-call roster.

We're looking for someone who

You’ll ideally have

• NZ Certificate in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (Level 4)
• Current EWRB Practising Licence
• Full NZ Driver Licence
