Job summary

Martella Refrigeration & Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer to join the Blenheim service team. The role suits a senior engineer or a capable mid-level technician ready to advance, with opportunities to take on more responsibility and influence the service department’s growth.

• Qualified Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer.
• Experience in refrigeration & HVAC service work.
• EST registration and full NZ driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide service across commercial refrigeration systems.
• Maintain and repair HVAC systems for commercial and residential clients.
• Diagnose faults and perform fault-finding diagnostics.
• Handle breakdown responses and routine servicing.
• Be available for on-call roster and work with a team.

The Role

This is a service-focused role working across:

• Commercial refrigeration systems

• Commercial and residential HVAC systems

• Fault-finding and diagnostics

• Servicing, maintenance and repairs

• Breakdown response

You’ll work both independently and alongside a supportive, experienced team, with the support and resources to do your job well.

What We’re Looking For

Key requirements:

• Qualified Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer

• Experience in refrigeration & HVAC service work

• EST registration

• Full NZ driver’s licence

• Availability to participate in the on-call roster

You’ll also be someone who:

• Takes pride in tidy, high-quality workmanship

• Has strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

• Communicates well with customers and the team

• Is reliable, organised, and takes ownership of their work
