Tower in Auckland, New Zealand, is seeking a recovery claims specialist to manage complex recovery tasks and help keep insurance affordable for customers. You will investigate liability, pursue third-party recoveries, and drive timely cost recovery outcomes while negotiating settlements with insurers and third parties.

With 2 years’ experience in insurance or financial services, you’ll monitor recovery activities, mitigate risks, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualificações

• 2 years’ experience in Insurance or Financial Services preferred.
• Experience of Recoveries, Settlement or Disputes Tribunal proceeding is an advantage
• Frontline or contact centre experience.

Your day-to-day would look like:

Manage recovery claims by investigating liability, pursuing recoveries from third parties, and driving timely cost recovery outcomes.

Negotiate settlements with insurers and uninsured third parties to achieve fair commercial outcomes while minimising claim costs.

Monitor and progress recovery activities, proactively mitigating legal risks and avoiding litigation where possible to help keep insurance affordable for our customers.

In your first 6-12 months, success will look like:

Consistently delivering strong recovery results while effectively managing a diverse portfolio of claims.

Recognised as a trusted adviser who confidently navigates complex disputes and influences positive commercial outcomes.

Actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance recovery performance and support affordable insurance for customers

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

• 2 years’ experience in the Insurance or Financial Services Industry preferred.
• Experience of Recoveries, Settlement or Disputes Tribunal proceeding is an advantage
• Frontline or contact centre experience.
• An understanding of Insurance liability

Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage confidently, empathetically, and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.

Highly organised and results-driven, with a strong focus on quality, attention to detail, and delivering positive outcomes
