Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers in Auckland seeks a friendly receptionist/administrator to handle phones, greet clients, and keep the reception area welcoming.
You will manage meeting bookings, send reminders, prepare documents, and assist with staff social events. No previous experience required beyond customer service; confident communication and organisational skills preferred.
We are a successful accounting firm with a pulse and a sense of humour. Our reception desk has a relatively low volume of phone calls and in-person visitors to deal with so the focus is on dealing with these to a high standard and managing the reception experience for our clients.
In between calls and greetings, you will have a bunch of general administration tasks to fill in the time as well as assisting with organising social events for the staff on a regular basis.
Training will be providing but tasks may include:
Ideally someone with at least 1 years experience in a reception or administration role or where good customer service was required (e.g. retail) but we would consider those with little or no experience if they have the confidence when talking over the phone, organisational skills and excellent phone manner.
It is critical that the person we hire is very confident/friendly/bubbly/genuine on the phone and in person and understands how to make a client feel welcome.
Also our staff regularly walk through reception and we find a good receptionist is one who can use those brief encounters to make the staff smile.
