About the Vacancy – Permanent – Full time
We have an exciting opportunity for a friendly and organised Receptionist to join our team in Christchurch. This role will be responsible for providing a professional and welcoming first point of contact for visitors, customers and team members.
Working closely with employees and visitors across the business, you will manage reception duties, answer telephone enquiries, coordinate incoming and outgoing correspondence and provide general administrative support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Providing a warm, professional and efficient reception service for visitors, customers and team members.
Answering, screening and directing incoming telephone calls and responding to enquiries in a timely manner.
Welcoming visitors, notifying employees of arrivals and maintaining visitor records where required.
Managing incoming and outgoing mail, courier deliveries and general correspondence.
Monitoring the reception area and ensuring it is presented to a high standard.
Providing general administrative support to the wider team.
Monitoring and ordering office and other miscellaneous supplies to ensure appropriate levels are maintained.
Maintaining accurate records and completing data entry and document administration as required.
Supporting health, safety and security procedures at the front desk and throughout the office.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a receptionist, administration, customer service or front-of-house role would be advantageous.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Professional, friendly and confident manner when dealing with people.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage competing priorities and remain calm in a busy environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
High level of reliability, discretion and professionalism.
Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Legal right to work in New Zealand.
