Job summary

PlaneBiz2015 Ltd (subsidiary of Menzies Aviation NZ) at Wellington International Airport is hiring reliable Ramp/Ground Handlers to join our team. You will help meet aircraft, unload/load luggage and cargo, and dispatch aircraft safely and efficiently in a fast-paced airport environment.

Permanent positions available for dynamic staff prepared to work a 24/7 rotating roster. Prior airline experience is helpful but not required; training is provided, and you must obtain an Airport Security Card,

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 32kg to above shoulder height.
• Pass a pre-employment medical examination.
• Full New Zealand Driver License - essential
• Permanent staff able to work a 24/7 rotating roster
• Flexible to changing day-to-day situations (Aircraft Delays/Diverts etc)
• Airport Security Card, Police Check and medical clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Sort luggage for arrival and departure.
• Load and unload luggage and cargo from aircraft.
• Clean aircraft.
• Drive a range of vehicles and machinery.
• Dispatch aircraft (pushbacks and head-setting).

Our Ramp/Ground Handling division at Wellington International Airport is seeking reliable, hardworking individuals to join our team in meeting aircraft, unloading/loading luggage and cargo, and dispatching aircraft in a safe and timely manner while enjoying the fast-paced and exciting environment of an airport.

We have permanent positionsavailable fordynamic staff willing to jump into:

Sorting luggage for arrival and departure

Loading and unloading of aircraft

Cleaning Aircraft

Driving a range of vehicles and machinery

Dispatching of Aircraft (Pushbacks and Head-setting)

Peaks and valleys of high-intensity physical work

Can work well in a team environment.

Requirements

Previous airline experience would be an advantage but is not a requirement.

Paid training for the role includes 2-3 weeks of a mixture of classroom, e-learning, and practical assessments.

In order to be considered you must have the ability to obtain an Airport Security Card, Police Check and pass a medical, including a Drug & Alcohol Screen.

Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory - this includes holding a valid work visa that covers the whole period of employment.
