Job summary

PlaneBiz2015 Ltd, a subsidiary of Menzies Aviation NZ, at Christchurch International Airport, seeks reliable team members for ramp/ground handling. You will meet aircraft, handle baggage, operate ground support equipment, and dispatch aircraft safely in a fast-paced airport setting.

We offer permanent positions for dynamic staff who can lift heavy loads, work rotating shifts, and adapt to delays or diversions.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 32kg to above shoulder height.
• Pass a pre-employment medical examination.
• Full NZ/International Driver Licence - essential.
• Permanent staff able to work a 24/7 rotating roster.
• Flexible to changing day-to-day situations (aircraft delays/diverts).
• Previous airline experience is advantageous but not required.
• Paid training for 2–3 weeks including classroom, e-learning and practicals.

Responsibilities

• Sort luggage for arrival and departure.
• Load and unload aircraft.
• Clean aircraft.
• Drive a range of vehicles and machinery.
• Dispatch aircraft (pushbacks and head-setting).
• Operate safely in high‑intensity environments.
• Work well in a team and demonstrate great time management.

Our Ramp/Ground Handling division at Christchurch International Airport is seeking reliable, hardworking individuals to join our team in meeting aircraft, baggage handling, operating ground support equipment, and dispatching aircraft in a safe and timely manner while enjoying the fast-paced and exciting environment of an airport.

• Sorting luggage for arrival and departure
• Loading and unloading of aircraft
• Cleaning Aircraft
• Driving a range of vehicles and machinery
• Dispatching of Aircraft (Pushbacks and Head-setting)
• Peaks and valleys of high-intensity physical work
• Can work well in a team environment.

Requirements
