Job summary

Blokhaus in Christchurch is seeking a Quotes Estimator to lead quote production for a growing stone benchtop manufacturer. You will handle showroom and phone inquiries, read plans, and leverage dedicated quoting software to generate 10–15 quotes daily with a quick 24-hour turnaround.

You will build relationships with tradies, developers and retail customers while collaborating with a three-person admin team to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting benchtop/kitchen plans and dimensions.
• Strong customer service mindset with active listening and problem solving.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to purpose-built quoting software.

We are seeking a motivated Quotes Estimator to join a growing stone benchtop manufacturer based in Christchurch. Working within a collaborative admin team of three, you will take the lead on producing quotes while fielding showroom and phone queries. Utilizing purpose-built software that makes quoting straightforward, this role lets your plan-reading ability, customer service skills, and commercial drive truly shine.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing the quotes inbox and producing around 10-15 quotes daily with a quick 24-hour turnaround
• Reading and interpreting plans, drawings, and dimensions to ensure accurate quote generation
• Answering customer queries over the phone, via email, and in person within the showroom
• Proactively following up on quotes a few days after sending to build rapport and close sales
• Building and growing strong relationships with tradies, developers, and retail customers
• Working closely with an admin team of three to ensure smooth daily operations and customer support
• Learning and utilizing purpose-built quoting software efficiently

What We're Looking For

• Confidence reading plans (whether a benchtop drawing or a full kitchen plan to identify key dimensions)
• Exceptional spoken English with an engaging, confident phone manner that builds trust naturally
• Strong customer service background with the ability to understand client needs (tradies, developers, end users)
• Commercial drive and initiative to proactively follow up quotes rather than waiting for the phone to ring
• Tech-savvy with confidence to pick up new software quickly
• Industry experience in benchtops, kitchen, bathroom, or laundry manufacturing/design (understanding edge profiles, sink/hob cut-outs, and stone specs) is ideal
• Alternatively, interior design study providing strong plan-reading and measurement skills is welcome
• Straightforward, purpose-built quoting software to streamline your workflow
• Pay Rate : $28.00/Hour to $30.00/Hour
