Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Territory Sales Executive to cover Queenstown and surrounding regions. You will drive sales by connecting with farmers, co-ops, and agribusinesses, managing the full cycle from prospecting to closing deals, and providing on-site support.

The role requires 3–5 years of sales experience in agriculture, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel extensively within the Queenstown region. A relevant agricultural qualification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably within the agricultural industry or a related field.
• Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
• Strong knowledge of farming practices, crops, and agricultural inputs is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to manage a sales territory independently and effectively.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the Queenstown region.
• Proficiency in CRM software and basic computer skills.
• Agricultural diploma or degree is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve territory sales targets for agricultural products and services.
• Identify and prospect new clients, including farmers, co-ops, and agribusinesses within the Queenstown area and surrounding regions.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their unique needs and challenges.
• Conduct on-farm demonstrations and provide technical expertise on product applications.
• Negotiate terms and close sales agreements, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely delivery.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to sales management.
• Stay updated on agricultural trends, new technologies, and competitor activities.
• Collaborate with the technical support team to ensure excellent post-sales service.
