Job summary

Hirock Limited seeks a Quarry Supervisor for Maraekakaho Quarry to lead production and maintenance, ensuring safe, efficient operations and strong team leadership. You will coordinate resources and schedules while upholding health and environmental standards.

You should bring a current Class 1 license and a Class 2 with W, T, R endorsements, First Aid, and a willingness to obtain a Quarry Manager’s Certificate. Competitive remuneration and ongoing development offered.

Qualifications

• Sound communication and basic computer skills.
• Willingness to obtain B Grade Quarry Manager's Certificate if not held.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Quarry Supervisor to join our team at our Maraekakaho Quarry.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys working alongside their team while driving production results. You will be responsible for coordinating production and maintenance activities, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and providing strong leadership to a dedicated quarry team.

About the Role

As Quarry Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Maintaining a safe working environment for employees, contractors, and members of the public
• Coordinating people, plant, and resources to safely and efficiently complete planned work
• Providing day‑to‑day leadership and support to onsite teams
• Managing production and maintenance schedules to achieve operational targets
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers and stakeholders
• Supporting the growth, development, and performance of team members
• Assisting with other tasks and projects as reasonably required

What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A current Class 1 driver's licence
• Current Class 2 licence and W, T, R endorsements
• A current First Aid Certificate
• Proven leadership experience within a quarrying environment
• Experience operating and overseeing fixed and mobile crushing and screening plants
• A B Grade Quarry Manager's Certificate, or a willingness to obtain one
• Sound communication and basic computer skills
• A strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
