Job summary

BestStart is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher for a permanent part-time role in our under 2s room, delivering child-led, play-based learning. The position offers a supportive team environment and opportunities for professional growth.

You will be expected to uphold ECE regulations, stay current with Te Whāriki, and contribute to a positive learning atmosphere while collaborating with colleagues.

• BEd/Dip Teaching Level 7 qualification in ECE or Primary.

We’re looking for a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our team in a permanent part-time position, working 40 hours per week in our under 2s room.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds a BEd/Dip Teaching Level 7 qualification in ECE or Primary, with current teacher registration/certification
• Has a strong understanding of child-led curriculum and can confidently extend children’s learning
• Has sound knowledge of current ECE regulations and Te Whāriki, with a strong commitment to compliance
• Demonstrates a genuine commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in everyday practice
• Is passionate about teaching, learning and making a positive difference in children’s lives
• Enjoys working collaboratively and contributing to a supportive, positive team environment
