Job summary

BestStart Beach Haven on the North Shore in Auckland is seeking a qualified Early Childhood/Primary teacher for an Over 2s group in a permanent full-time role. The position runs 40 hours per week, starting 18 January 2027, delivering child-led learning within a Te Whāriki framework.

The centre promotes Manaaki values, Te Tirī o Waitangi partnerships, and ongoing professional development, with a supportive induction and career growth pathways. Applications welcomed from NZ-registered teachers.

Qualifications

• A Level 7 BEd/Dip Teaching qualification (ECE or Primary).
• Current New Zealand teacher registration.
• Confidence in supporting child-led learning and development.
• Genuine commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and bicultural practice.
• Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki, ECE regulations, and effective teaching practice.
