Job summary

A-Grade Construction in Hawle’s Bay is seeking a qualified builder to join our team on a full-time basis. You'll work across architectural new builds, renovations, commercial fit-outs and MOE/insurance projects.

You'll collaborate with experienced foremen and project managers who value organisation, clear communication and quality workmanship. Most projects are based in Hawke’s Bay with occasional away work to add variety and hours. Join a company with a strong forward pipeline.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified carpenter or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of NZ building practices and standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Reliable, punctual and professional on site.
• Valid NZ driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Work across projects including architectural new builds, renovations, commercial fit-outs, MOE projects and insurance work.

We are a growing Hawke’s Bay based construction company delivering high quality residential and commercial builds. We’re looking for a qualified to join our team on a full-time basis.

About the role

You’ll be working across a variety of projects including architectural new builds, renovations, commercial fit-outs, MOE projects and insurance work.

You’ll be working alongside experienced foremen and project managers who value organisation, clear communication, and quality workmanship. We run structured sites, but we don’t micromanage, we trust good people to do good work.

Most projects are based in Hawke’s Bay, however we also take on away work from time to time. For the right person, this adds variety, solid hours, and the chance to work on some interesting projects outside the region.

What we’re looking for

• Trade qualified carpenter (or equivalent experience)
• Strong knowledge of NZ building practices and standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and pride in your work
• Reliable, punctual, and professional on site
• Full NZ driver’s licence
