Job summary

Franklin Smith Group in Auckland, North Island, is seeking a qualified and experienced carpenter to join our residential construction team across Auckland. This hands-on role covers high-end renovations, heritage work, kitchen and bathroom upgrades, architectural additions, and new builds.

If you take pride in workmanship and can work through all build stages with minimal supervision, we’d like to hear from you. NZ working rights required, immediate start, and versatile, quality projects.

Qualifications

• NZ Carpentry Qualification required.
• Solid residential renovation experience; high-end preferred.
• Ability to read plans, construction details and specifications.
• Readiness to lead and support apprentices.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans, construction details and specifications to deliver high-quality finishes.
• Lead and support apprentices across projects.
• Work across all stages from footings to finishing on residential builds.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain safety and quality standards.

Qualified Builder / Carpenter – Residential Construction | Auckland We’re looking for a qualified and experienced carpenter to join a strong residential building team working across Auckland.

What we’re looking for

• NZ Carpentry Qualification
• Solid residential renovation experience – high-end experience is preferred
• Strong workmanship across all stages of construction, from footings through to finishing
• Ability to work confidently and effectively without supervision
• Experience or confidence leading and supporting apprentices
• Ability to read and interpret plans, construction details, and specifications, and turn them into a high-quality finished product
• Your own tools and reliable transport
• Clear communication and a good command of English
• A strong eye for detail and pride in delivering quality work
