Job summary

AntBank is seeking a Software Tester to join our fintech team in Auckland, focusing on testing card issuance, digital wallet, payments, databases, APIs, settlement and reconciliation. You will identify defects, ensure reliability, security and data integrity before production releases.

The role covers functional, integration, API and security testing across web, mobile and backend systems, with opportunities to contribute to test automation and QA best practices within a fast-growing payments

Qualifications

Relevant qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related discipline.
Experience in software testing, QA or development.
Understanding of software development and testing methodologies.
Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Experience testing REST APIs and system integrations.
Ability to prepare structured test cases and reports.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to identify and reproduce complex defects.
Good written technical documentation skills.
Understanding of software and data security principles.

Responsibilities

Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test data based on requirements.
Perform functional, integration, system, regression and user acceptance testing.
Test web-based, mobile and backend applications.
Identify, document and track defects through to resolution.
Retest corrected defects and conduct regression testing before production releases.
Verify that delivered software meets approved requirements.
