Job summary

AntBank is seeking a Software Tester to validate its digital wallet, card issuance, payment transactions and core systems in New Zealand. You will test web/mobile apps, APIs and databases, identify defects and ensure data integrity before production releases.

The role emphasises security, PCI-aligned practices and end-to-end transaction validation across settlement and reconciliation life cycles.

Qualifications

A relevant qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
Experience in software testing, quality assurance or software development; understanding of methodologies.
Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Experience testing REST APIs and system integrations.
Ability to prepare structured test cases and test reports.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to identify and reproduce complex software defects.
Good written technical documentation skills.
Understanding of software and data security principles.

Responsibilities

Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test data based on business and technical requirements.
Perform functional, integration, system, regression and user acceptance testing.
Test web-based, mobile and backend applications.
Identify, document and track software defects through to resolution.
Retest corrected defects and conduct regression testing before production releases.
Verify that delivered software meets approved business and technical requirements.
