Job summary

AntBank is seeking a qualified Software Tester in Auckland to validate fintech platforms, including wallet, card issuance and payment APIs. The role focuses on ensuring reliable, secure and production-ready software across web, mobile and backend systems.

You will test card issuance, digital wallet, transactions, databases, APIs, settlement and reconciliation, while identifying defects and data integrity issues before release. A 12-month contract based in Auckland.

Qualifications

A relevant qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
Experience in software testing, quality assurance or software development.
Understanding of software development and testing methodologies.
Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Experience testing REST APIs and system integrations.
Ability to prepare structured test cases and test reports.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to identify and reproduce complex software defects.
Good written technical documentation skills.
Understanding of software and data security principles.

Responsibilities

Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test data based on requirements.
Perform functional, integration, system, regression and user acceptance testing.
Test web-based, mobile and backend applications.
Identify, document and track software defects through to resolution.
Retest corrected defects and conduct regression testing before production releases.
Verify that delivered software meets approved business and technical requirements.
