Job summary

AntBank in New Zealand seeks a Software Tester to validate fintech platforms, wallets and card issuing workflows. You will test transactions, APIs, databases and reconciliation processes to ensure reliable and secure production-ready software.

The role covers security testing, defect management, and collaboration with developers to ensure PCI DSS-aligned controls and robust test documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing, quality assurance or QA practices.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience testing REST APIs and system integrations.
• Ability to prepare structured test cases and reports.
• Understanding of software security principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare test plans, scenarios, test cases and data based on requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression and UAT testing.
• Test web, mobile and backend applications.
• Identify, document and track defects through resolution.
• Support test automation of repeatable tests including API testing.
• Validate database records and ledger relationships during testing.
• Test card issuance, wallet, payment transactions and external integrations.
• Maintain testing records and support release-readiness decisions.
