Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Recruitment Consultant in Queenstown to source, screen and place candidates within the public sector and related entities. The role combines regular office days with flexible remote work, supporting government and public institutions.

You will navigate procurement processes, build relationships with key public sector contacts, and manage the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to placement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recruitment experience, preferably in public sector or government clients.
• Understanding of public sector procurement and HR practices.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport with government and public entities.
• Experience with recruitment software and sourcing tools.

Responsibilities

• Source, screen, and interview candidates for public sector roles.
• Navigate recruitment processes and compliance requirements of the public sector.
• Build and maintain relationships with contacts in public sector organizations.
• Manage full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to placement.
• Develop and maintain a database for public sector roles.
• Stay informed about government policies and workforce planning needs.
• Achieve and exceed placement targets within the sector.
• Provide consultative advice on talent acquisition strategies.
