Job summary

Cassidy Construction is seeking a Site Engineer to work across diverse civil and infrastructure projects in Auckland. You will support project delivery across the full lifecycle, collaborate with Project Managers and established teams, and enjoy a good balance of site and office work.

Ideally you have 4+ years in a Site or Project Engineer role with a Civil or Mechanical Engineering qualification, plus strong planning and communication skills to proactively solve problems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as Site Engineer or Project Engineer in a main contractor environment.
• Strong planning and proactive problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery across the full project lifecycle, from design to delivery and commercial activities.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and established project teams with a high degree of autonomy.
• Maintain a mix of site and office work to suit project needs and client expectations.

Job description

The Opportunity:

Working across a diverse range of interesting, technically challenging civil and infrastructure projects, our Project Engineers are involved across the full project lifecycle, with responsibility spanning technical engineering, project delivery and commercial activities.

Working closely with our Project Managers and supported by well-established project teams, you'll enjoy a high degree of autonomy across a broad set of responsibilities, allowing you the opportunity to gain exposure and broaden capability across all aspects of the project.

This role offers a mix of site and office-based work and is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer looking to take the next step with an agile Tier 2 main contractor.

What you'll bring:

• 4+ years' experience in a Site Engineer or Project Engineer role within a main contractor environment
• A relevant qualification in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
• Strong organisational, communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to plan work ahead and proactively solve problems
