Ghella Limited is seeking a Site Engineer for The Herne Bay Collector project in Auckland. You will work with Project Engineers and Supervisors on construction site activities, documentation, resource management and claims tracking.

Join our newest project The Herne Bay Collector, working alongside our Project Engineers and Supervisors across a range of construction site activities, documentation, resource management as well as tracking and identification of claims. Actively participate at toolbox and site meetings, manage documentation and filing of all project information, monitor and track subcontractors, suppliers and plant dockets, and compile incoming material certification records, ITPs and checklists. Assist with monitoring works to ensure they are carried out in line with all relevant designs, specifications and methodologies, and assist in the preparation of safety, quality and environmental plans, including safe work method statements and construction method statements, ITPs, and purchasing plans.
Minimum 3 years' experience working as a Site Engineer in civil infrastructure
Degree qualification in engineering, construction management or equivalent
Construction Site administration experience, including the compiling of ITPs
Focus on Health and Safety, think safe and work safe
Proficient in MS Project and Excel and strong administration capabilities
Positive and pro-active approach toward teamwork
Sound planning and organisational skills
Innovative thinker and committed to continuous improvement
Good communicator, clear, concise and easily understood both in written and verbal form
The Herne Bay Collector is located adjacent to the Waitematā Harbour. The new infrastructure will significantly reduce wastewater and stormwater overflows into the environment. The project consists of a 1.7km-long, 2.1m-diameter wastewater tunnel, seven main shafts, three intermediate shafts, overflow connections to existing engineered overflow points, and a control chamber at Pt Erin Park in Auckland. This chamber will connect the Herne Bay Collector into the Central Interceptor system, forming part of Auckland's wider wastewater network.
