Department of Corrections (Ara Poutama Aotearoa) is seeking a Project Coordinator Construction for the Christchurch Men's Prison Redevelopment Programme. The role provides essential coordination and administrative support to the Construction Works team, helping deliver complex construction projects within a major redevelopment.

Based in Christchurch, you will work with project teams, contractors and stakeholders from planning to delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating projects and keeping workstreams, documentation, and reporting on track.
  • Strong organisation skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain attention to detail.
  • Confidence working with budgets, invoices, contracts, or other project administration processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide essential coordination and administrative support to the Construction Works team, maintaining project plans and documentation.
  • Coordinate reporting and project processes to keep redevelopment works on schedule.
  • Support collaboration with contractors and stakeholders from planning through delivery.

Delivered through a Public Private Partnership (PPP), it will provide new high-security accommodation and modern facilities for staff and prisoners.As Project Coordinator Construction, you'll provide essential coordination and administrative support to the Construction Works team, helping deliver a range of complex construction projects within the redevelopment programme.
