Job summary

Tuatara Brewery in Wellington is seeking a hands‑on Production Assistant to join our team at Brewtown. You will help deliver high‑quality products safely, efficiently, and with pride, working closely with the Packaging Manager and production team.

Based at our Brewtown site, the role requires a reliable, hardworking attitude, strong teamwork, and a willingness to learn. No experience required; forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• A reliable, hardworking, and safety‑focused approach.
• Strong attention to detail and a team‑first mindset.
• Experience in food/FMCG production/manufacturing is advantageous but not essential.
• A forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out production activities safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
• Follow standard operating procedures and maintain a clean, organised work environment.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
• Identify equipment maintenance requirements and support preventative maintenance activities.
• Contribute ideas for continuous improvement across the brewery.
• Champion safe working practices and support a strong health and safety culture.
