Job summary

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare in New Zealand is seeking a hands-on Product Development Manager to lead the Invasive Interface Products team. You’ll refine the product and prepare it for clinical evaluation, working closely with the Invasive Ventilation Clinical team.

You will manage the product verification plan, collaborate with external vendors, map manufacturing pathways, and develop a sound business case. The role requires practical medical-device documentation knowledge and strong leadership

Qualifications

• Practical understanding of medical-device documentation requirements.
• Strong leadership, planning and execution skills.
• Comfort working in a small engineering team with external process and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Create lean, risk-based documentation to support Clinical Investigation and trial management.
• Develop and manage the product verification plan.
• Collaborate with external vendors for tooling and validation documentation.
• Map manufacturing pathways with New Product Introduction teams.
• Develop product costing to build a sound business case.
• Coordinate with Regulatory teams on device classification and release requirements.
• Set priorities, manage development risks and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Visit customers to understand clinical requirements and future opportunities.
