Fisher & Paykel Healthcare in Auckland is seeking an Operations Engineer focused on New Product Introduction. You will lead cross-functional efforts to shorten time to market and establish new manufacturing processes, driving data‑driven improvements across products and lines.

• Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical or Mechanical.
• 4+ years in engineering or manufacturing within the medical device industry.

Responsabilidades

• Improve time to market and new manufacturing processes through the NPI (New Product Introduction) program.
• Develop understanding of current products and manufacturing practices; collaborate with development and value stream teams.
• Establish new manufacturing processes to drive efficiency and quality.
• Analyse production and quality data to inform design, processes and capacity improvements.
• Contribute to product and process design inputs, project and risk management, capacity planning, validation and continuous improvement initiatives.

About the opportunity

As anOperations Engineeryou will work closely with all areas of the business to improve time to market and new manufacturing processes. You are a great communicator and relationship builder. You are confident in your abilities and are not afraid to ask the difficult questions.

You'll become an integral member of the operations engineering team by improving and executing the new product introduction (NPI) process. This involves:

• Developing a solid understanding of current products and manufacturing practices
• Collaborating with development and value stream teams
• Establishing new manufacturing processes
• Analysing production and quality data to drive improvements in product design, production processes and capacity.

You will also be involved in product and process design inputs, project and risk management, capacity planning, validation and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• A Bachelor of Engineering degree in Biomedical or Mechanical.
• 4+ years of experience in engineering or manufacturing within the medical device industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Results oriented with the ability to overcome obstacles and meet deadlines
• A team playerkeenwho thrives in a multi-disciplinary team environment and builds strong relationships
• An effective communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to implement process and manufacturing documentation

This is a full-time, permanent position (40 hour week) with a salary range of $95,000. - $100,000. This role is based in our Auckland office in Highbrook Drive in East Tamaki.
