Job summary

NZ Post is seeking a Processing Officer on-call in New Plymouth. You will sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels at the Taranaki branch to support couriers and ensure timely deliveries.

You must be available Mon-Fri 15:00-18:30, have reliable transport, and be capable of lifting up to 25 kg. The role offers learning opportunities, a safe workplace, and free parking as part of a flexible on-call arrangement.

• Reliable transport to get to work on time
• Be a committed teammate, keeping yourself, others and the site safe
• Energy for a physically demanding role - lift up to 25kg
• An eye for detail and good geographical knowledge

Responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight at the Taranaki (New Plymouth) branch for courier delivery
• On-call coverage to support illness, extended leave, and peak periods
• Assist in arranging and preparing items for sorting and dispatch
• Contribute to a safe work environment and efficient parcel flow

• $26.75 per hour
