Job summary

NZ Post invites applications for a Processing Officer, On Call at our Avenal branch. You will sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels to support couriers during peak periods. This on-call position covers shifts Mon–Sat, including early morning hours.

You are energetic, reliable and physically able to lift up to 25 kg. NZ Post offers learning and development, a safe work environment, and the opportunity to be part of a proud, government-owned agency delivering for New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Be available to work on call, covering shifts across Monday to Saturday, and anywhere from 3.30am - 10.30am.
• Forklift experience an advantage, but not essential.
• Full working rights in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight at the Avenal branch.
• Cover staff sickness, leave, and peak delivery periods as needed.
• Assist couriers to ensure timely deliveries.

Our Processing Officers create the magic by sorting, consolidating and dispatching parcels and freight at our Avenal branch, ready for our couriers to deliver. We're a lively bunch, with a diverse set of skills, but we all share one common goal - to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our beautiful Aotearoa.
