Job summary

New Zealand Post is seeking on-call Processing Officers to sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels at the Whangarei Operations Centre. The role supports couriers and keeps daily operations moving, with shift times and the potential to be called in for illness, peak periods or extended leave.

You will lift up to 25kg, rely on reliable transport, and bring attention to detail. NZ Post offers learning and development opportunities and a safe work environment.

On Call - work as and when required

Location: Union East Street, Whangarei Operations Centre

$26.75 per hour + night shift allowance ($3.21 per hour between 8pm and 6am)

On Call employees are an essential part of our business as we call on them to assist us as and when required. You might be called in to cover illness, extended leave or help us our during our peak delivery periods. It's a great way to balance work and lifestyle!

• Be available to work on call hours, as and when required
• Shift Times - AM: 23:00-7:30 OR PM: 10:30-19:00
• Flexibility to start earlier or finish later when required during peak times
• Reliable transport to get to work on time
• Be a committed teammate, keeping yourself, others and the site safe
• Energy for a physically demanding role - can you lift up to 25kgs?
• An eye for detail and good geographical knowledge
