Job summary

New Zealand Post is seeking a flexible On Call Processing Officer in Whanganui. You will sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight to support our couriers and ensure timely deliveries.

This is an on-call role, with shifts arranged as needed to cover illness, peak periods, and other busy times. Applicants should be available for on-call work, have reliable transport, and be comfortable with manual handling (up to 25kgs).

• Flexibility to start earlier or finish later during peak times.
• Reliable transport to get to work on time.
• Be a committed teammate, keeping yourself, others and the site safe.
• Energy for a physically demanding role — can you lift up to 25kgs?

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight at the Whanganui Depot.
• Support couriers to deliver parcels.
• Be available on-call to cover illness or peak periods.
